René Christoffersen

Director of Business Development – René joined IWC in November 2018 and is responsible for Business Development. René has more than 30 years of experience within asset management, with a strong focus on institutional investors and investments.

Prior to joining IWC, René spent 10 years as Global Head of Client Management at Danske Capital (now Danske Asset Management) servicing large institutional clients. Before that, he worked 15 years in Germany as Senior Portfolio Manager mainly responsible for fixed income instruments, including credits, at Cominvest, ADIG Investment, West LB Asset Management, and Kölnische Rück. René started his career at Baltica Finans – later Danica – as Analyst and subsequently as Chief Analyst. René has an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.

”Having spent most of my career in asset management focusing on publicly traded securities, I look forward to working with private markets and real assets, and within that segment the two tangible assets – timberland and farmland. Both assets cater to some very basic human needs – shelter and food. IWC has much experience in facilitating Nordic institutional investors to gain exposure to timberland investments and has now started doing the same for farmland.
